The museum is currently showcasing a wide array of Fort Bliss-specific items ranging from Civil War-era relics to the missile systems that defined this post when it was an ADA post. Day by day the 1st Armored Division museum continues to take on a broader form. The team is now working on three three-dimensional exhibits chronicling the story of the division during World War II in Capua and Salerno, Italy, along with recreating Bamberg during the Cold War. Those exhibits are scheduled to be unveiled Tuesday following Maj. Gen. Dana J. H. Pittard’s assumption-of-command ceremony when he takes the helm of the 1st Armored Division, and will continue to be on display for museum visitors.
